Maid Service in New Orleans
A maid service is not a stranger you find again in four months. It is the same two people, on your calendar, at a price you agreed to before anyone knocked on the door.

Most people searching for a maid service in New Orleans have already tried the other thing. They booked somebody off an app, it went fine, and then that person stopped answering. Or the price moved. Or a different pair of shoes walked in every month and the house never quite got learned.
What we sell is the opposite of that. Two cleaners, assigned to your house, who know that the guest bath gets skipped in winter and that the dog stays in the back room. A number you see before you book. And a schedule you can move whenever your week falls apart.
What you are actually buying
The same two people
Not a rotating roster. Your crew gets assigned and stays assigned. If somebody is out sick we tell you who is coming instead, before the day.
A price, not a range
You put the house into the estimator, you get a flat number. That number does not move because the job ran long. Running long is our problem.
A list you control
First visit we walk it with you. Skip the guest room, always do the fridge front, never touch the record player. It goes on the sheet and it stays there.
Access that works
Lockbox, garage code, key on file, or you let us in. Whatever you pick, we note it and we do not call you from the porch.
W-2 employees
Background-checked, on payroll, covered by our insurance and bond. Not contractors we found last week.
No contract
Move a clean, skip a clean, stop entirely. There is no cancellation fee and nothing to sign.
New Orleans houses are not standard houses
A cleaning company that mostly works new construction will clean a shotgun double the same way it cleans a 2015 subdivision house, and the house will tell on them within a month.
Most of what we walk into here is raised on piers, framed in cypress, finished in plaster, and somewhere between seventy and a hundred and forty years old. Twelve-foot ceilings. Original heart pine that has been sanded twice already and cannot take a third. Transom windows over every interior door. Marble mantels in rooms that have not had a fire in them since the war.
None of that is hard. It just needs somebody who knows which surfaces punish the standard playbook — that vinegar etches marble, that a melamine sponge takes the sheen off plaster paint permanently, that a wet mop on old pine is how you get cupping at the seams.

The humidity tax
Everybody who lives here pays it. Eight months a year the air holds enough water that surfaces which would stay clean anywhere else quietly go grey.
- Bathroom ceilings. The spotting above the shower is mildew, not dirt, and wiping it with an all-purpose cleaner just spreads it. It needs the right product and about four minutes.
- Supply vents. Cold metal plus wet air equals a black fuzz on the louvers. We pull and wipe the registers we can reach on the recurring list, not just the visit you finally notice them.
- Closets and leather. A closed closet on an exterior wall is the first place a house grows something. We leave the doors cracked when we finish and say something if we see a bloom.
- Under-sink cabinets. Slow supply-line weep is extremely common in old houses and it is almost always found by a cleaner, not a plumber. We look, and we tell you.
Parking, keys and the front gate
This is the part nobody puts on a cleaning website, and it is the part that actually decides whether a recurring schedule survives in this city.
No driveway
Half of Uptown and most of the Marigny. Tell us where you actually park and whether the block is permit-only. We plan around it; we do not circle for twenty minutes and start late.
One-way streets
Magazine, Prytania, most of the Bywater grid. A crew that does not know the pattern loses fifteen minutes every single visit and it shows up as a rushed kitchen.
Gates and courtyards
If the gate latch has a trick, show us once. We write it down. Nobody should be texting you from the sidewalk.
Dogs
Tell us the name and whether they are a jumper. Most of the time the dog is fine and the crew is fine. We just want to know before the door opens.

Weekly, every other week, or monthly
Most New Orleans households land on every other week. It is the point where the house never gets far enough away from you to need the expensive version. Our per-visit rate is the same whatever the frequency — what a schedule saves you is the deep clean, which runs about forty per cent above a maintenance visit.
Weekly
Kids, pets, home office, or an old house under oak trees during pollen season. The house sits at one level permanently and never drifts back toward needing a reset.
Every other week
The default. Nothing has time to build up in fourteen days in a normally used house.
Monthly
Works for a couple who travels, or a second home. Expect each visit to take longer than a biweekly one would — four weeks of a New Orleans summer is a real amount of dust.
One time
Guests coming, a party, or you just want the house reset once. No schedule attached, no pressure to start one.
Where we run in Orleans Parish
Uptown, the Garden District, the Lower Garden District, Mid-City, Bayou St. John, Lakeview, Lakeshore, Broadmoor, Gentilly, Marigny, Bywater, Treme, the Irish Channel, the Warehouse District and the CBD. Algiers Point on request.
Neighborhood pages: Uptown, the Garden District, Mid-City, Lakeview and the Warehouse District.
If this is a one-off rather than a schedule, look at deep cleaning or move-out cleaning. For a standing slot that keeps the house off deep-clean pricing, see recurring cleaning. Renting? Apartment cleaning is priced differently.
What we do not do
- Exterior windows above the first floor, or anything that needs a ladder taller than a two-step.
- Heavy clutter. We clean surfaces; we do not decide what stays and what goes. If a room needs sorting first, say so and we will price it honestly.
- Mold remediation. Surface mildew on tile and baseboard, yes. Anything behind a wall is a licensed trade and we will tell you who to call.
- Floor refinishing, waxing or buffing. Different job, different insurance.

Maid service in New Orleans — what people ask
How much does a maid service cost in New Orleans?
Most land between $210 and $420 a visit. A typical 1,800 square foot house is $309 for a maintenance clean and $432 if it needs the first-time deep version. Anything under about 1,100 square feet is $180. Full numbers are on the cleaning cost page.
Do I have to be home?
No, and most of our recurring clients are not. Lockbox, garage code or a key we keep on file — all three are normal. We text when the crew is on the way and again when they lock up.
Do you bring your own supplies?
Yes, everything including the vacuum. If you want a specific product used on a specific surface, leave it out and note it on the sheet. Plenty of people do this for stone counters and for hardwood.
Is it the same cleaner every time?
That is the whole point of the model. Your crew is assigned. When somebody is on vacation we tell you who is covering before the visit rather than after.
Do you serve the Westbank and Metairie too?
Yes. Metairie and Kenner are our home base, and we cross the river for Gretna and the nearby Westbank neighborhoods. Northshore runs go to Mandeville, Covington, Madisonville and Slidell.
Put your house on the schedule
Flat rate before anyone arrives. The same two cleaners every visit. Move or skip a clean whenever you need to, at no cost.
