House Cleaning in Slidell
Slidell splits into three kinds of house, and they do not want the same clean. Waterfront on the canals, Olde Towne cottages, and the rebuilt-since-2005 subdivisions out toward Gause.

Slidell, Eden Isles, Oak Harbor, Lakeshore Estates and Olde Towne · part of our Northshore route
Same crew every visit · Insured & bonded · Background-checked employees · No contract

We already run Mandeville, Madisonville and Covington on the Northshore, and Slidell is the eastern end of that route. It is a scheduled day rather than a one-off drive, which is what keeps the price the same as it is anywhere else we work.
What makes Slidell different from the rest of the Northshore is water — not the weather kind, the brackish kind sitting a hundred feet from a lot of these houses.
Salt air does things to a house
If you are on the canals in Eden Isles, Oak Harbor or Lakeshore Estates, you already know the film. It is not dust. It is a fine salt haze that settles on glass, window frames, hardware and anything metal facing the water, and a dry cloth just moves it around.
Glass and sliders
Waterfront glass needs a wet pass and a dry pass, in that order, every visit. Skip the wet and you get a streaked haze within a day.
Hardware and hinges
Salt pits cheap hardware and dulls good hardware. Wiped dry, never sprayed with an ammonia glass cleaner, which accelerates it.
Track and sill channels
Slider tracks on a canal house collect a gritty salt paste. Vacuumed first, then wiped. Mopping it just packs it in.
Boat and dock traffic
If the back door goes to a dock, that entry gets the same treatment a carport door gets everywhere else. It is the dirtiest threshold in the house.

Olde Towne is a different job entirely
The blocks around Erlanger, First and Second Streets are pre-war wood frame — raised cottages with original pine, some with real plaster still behind the paint, and the tall casings and transoms that come with the era.
Those get the old-house playbook: damp microfiber with a pH-neutral cleaner then a dry pass on the wood, a hand-clean on plaster rather than a melamine sponge, and no acidic product anywhere near a stone mantel. The same rules we use on the Old Metairie and Garden District houses.
The rebuilt houses
A lot of Slidell was redone after 2005, and it shows in the floors. Tile and LVP almost everywhere on the ground level, often wall to wall. That changes the shape of a visit: floors become the largest single line item rather than an afterthought, and the grout lines are what separate a good clean from a fast one.
- Tile grout. A mop greys grout over time because it redistributes dirty water into the lines. We work in sections and change water rather than finishing fast.
- LVP seams. Damp, not wet. Water sitting in a click-lock seam swells the core and the plank lifts at the edge.
- Pine pollen. Same story as the rest of St. Tammany. February through April, sills and blinds move onto every visit if you ask.
- Screened porches and sunrooms. Common here and genuinely part of the living space. Included when you ask for it, priced honestly when you do.

Beds, baths, square footage, frequency. Flat number on screen. No Northshore surcharge and no travel fee — Slidell is priced the same as Metairie.
Scheduling across the lake
Slidell runs on set days as part of the Northshore route. That has one real consequence worth knowing before you book: recurring slots are easy, and last-minute one-offs are not. If you need a specific Thursday next month, put it on the schedule now and it holds.
We text when the crew is genuinely on the road rather than when they leave the yard, because the difference between the twin spans at seven and the twin spans at nine is about twenty-five minutes.
The rest of the Northshore
Same route, same crew: Mandeville and Covington, plus Madisonville and Abita Springs. South of the lake we are based in Metairie.
Renting the place out by the week? Airbnb and short-term rental turnovers run on a different clock. Selling or leaving? Move-out cleaning is a separate scope.
What we do not do
- Docks, boathouses, decks and anything outside the exterior wall.
- Exterior windows above the first floor, or any ladder past a two-step.
- Pressure washing of any kind, including salt film on siding.
- Mold remediation. Surface mildew on tile and trim yes; anything structural is a licensed job and we will say so.

Slidell house cleaning — what people ask
Do you come out as far as Slidell?
Yes. Slidell is the eastern end of our Northshore route, along with Mandeville, Madisonville, Covington and Abita Springs. There is no travel charge and no surcharge for crossing the lake.
How much does house cleaning cost in Slidell?
Exactly the same as anywhere else we work. A 1,800 square foot house is $309 for a maintenance clean and $432 for a first-time deep clean; 2,500 square feet is $418 and $583. No lake surcharge. Full numbers on the cleaning cost page.
Can you deal with the salt film on waterfront windows?
Yes, and it needs a wet pass followed by a dry one. A single dry wipe just spreads it and you will see the haze again the next morning. On a canal house this is part of every visit, not an extra.
Do you clean Olde Towne cottages with original wood floors?
Yes. Old pine gets damp microfiber and a pH-neutral cleaner, then a dry pass. No wet mop, no vinegar and no steam. Plaster is hand-cleaned rather than touched with a melamine sponge.
Can I get a last-minute appointment in Slidell?
Harder than in Metairie, and we would rather be straight about it. Slidell runs on set days as part of a route, so recurring slots are easy to hold but one-off short-notice bookings depend on what else is already on that day.
What a standard Slidell visit covers
Kitchen
Counters, backsplash, sink and fixtures, cooktop, range front, microwave in and out, cabinet and appliance exteriors, floor.
Bathrooms
Tub and shower walls, grout lines, the caulk bead, toilet inside, outside and behind the base, vanity, mirror, fixtures and floor.
Glass and sliders
On a canal house, a wet pass and then a dry one every visit, plus the track channels vacuumed before anything wet touches them.
Everywhere else
Top-down dusting — sills, blinds, fan blades, vent registers. Floors vacuumed then mopped to suit tile, LVP or original wood.
Storm season, honestly
If the house has been shut up and the power was out, that is not a maintenance clean and we will not price it as one. Warm still air for a few days does things to a closed house that a normal visit cannot undo. Tell us what happened and we will scope it properly rather than send two people to discover it.
